The Inn at Hermannhof

We stayed in Theresa’s Garden room in one of the cottages. Room was beautiful and bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately it was below zero on both nights. Had trouble getting gas fireplace going and staff sent someone after hours to help. They offered to move us but we got it working and even though temp was -5 both nights, room was comfortable . Beautiful antique furnishings. Staff was top notch and breakfast was great. Definitely going back…in warmer weather.

Stayed at the Inn for an anniversary trip. The level of comfort and luxury was outstanding. The rooms at the inn are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms are beautifully designed. The huge whirlpool tub and massive wall in shower was beyond expectations but the heated time floors and bathroom fireplace was a touch above and beyond. I cannot wait to come back for any special occasion and cannot say enough how wonderful and gracious the staff was. Thank you Inn at Hermanoff for the perfect weekend.

I would love to rate our experience as a 4 or 5 star however, we could hear every step, every move, every thing from the room above us. We heard them at night when trying to fall and sleep and early in the morning. It was more noise than one would expect and truly negatively impacted our sleep and comfort. We stayed in the Chardonel Suite. Again, lovely view, nice accommodations but the lack of any sound proofing will keep me from recommending or returning. I did share w the inn keeper and she indicated they were planning to work on sound proofing so they know it’s an issue. It’s unfortunate but I want others to be aware or at minimum bring a box of ear plugs!

We recently stayed in the Vienna suite located in the inn. Overall, We had a nice stay, but there's definitely some big room for some improvement. The woman who first booked us was so nice and helpful. When we arrived, there was another young lady who was checking us in and she did not give me any suggestions nor was she very friendly. She wasn't rude, just indifferent. The inn is in a good location within walking distance of several wineries and restaurants. The room was nice, but it was well worn. The cushion seats in the chairs need to be replaced as they are very dented in. The bed had a very comfortable sheet set and topper, but it still could not hide the deep body impressions on the mattress. The marble around the tub was cracked and missing in spots, and the jets did not seem to work properly. The seven shower heads in the shower were amazing. It was the best shower I have ever had. The shower experience will definitely have me rebooking in the future. My complaint would be with the breakfast. You are literally given starvation rations. No exaggeration-Llterally the equivalent of one scrambled egg, one piece of bacon, and three bites of a french toast concoction, and a tiny "parfait" with literally three bites. There is only one or two girls trying to serve the entire room, which is obviously difficult. I did not mind being patient. The first night stay breakfast we were waited on by a nice woman, but the 2nd day was a younger girl who clearly did not want to be there and made me feel uncomfortable and afraid to ask for anything. Both days we left very unsatisfied and still hungry, and for the price of the room you should get a moderate breakfast. My husband is a smaller eater than I, and even he was left hungry. Also, many doors are unlocked and I worried about safety. My husband did hear the trains at night across the street, but I did not. No place is a hundred percent perfect. I think different guests have different experiences depending on the working order of their hot tubs and showers. We enjoyed our stay enough to come back, but they have got to work on updating the broken in mattresses, seat cushions, and giving people a decent amount of food for breakfast.
